Information Services Group (ISG) announced it has acquired the AI Maturity Index, a SaaS platform designed to help organizations assess and improve workforce readiness for adopting AI, as the company expands a broader AI acceleration strategy that also includes a new internal AI Acceleration Unit and an upcoming AI-powered insights platform.
The Stamford, Connecticut-based technology research and advisory firm said the AI Maturity Index will serve as a scalable starting point for client engagements by quantifying and benchmarking employees’ preparedness to use AI and prescribing steps to improve adoption. ISG Chairman and CEO Michael P. Connors said the platform strengthens the firm’s data-driven advisory approach and supports its goal of helping clients achieve ROI from AI investments.
ISG said the AI Maturity Index was developed and launched last year and was created by co-founders Eryn Peters and Iwo Szapar. Peters, a certified change management professional and founder of the Startup Consortium who also edits Weekly Workforce, will serve as product and strategy leader for the platform as it is rolled out to ISG clients. Szapar is described as a future-of-work evangelist and remote work infrastructure pioneer.
In early traction, ISG said the platform has assessed more than 6,000 individual AI users and collected more than 400,000 data points, with the company expecting adoption to increase as distribution expands through ISG’s client base.
As part of the same initiative, ISG said it has formed an AI Acceleration Unit led by Chief AI Officer Steve Hall. The unit is expected to integrate expertise across ISG’s advisory and research teams to help clients evaluate AI maturity, set AI strategy, develop and govern provider ecosystems, and drive adoption through change management.
ISG also said it plans to launch a proprietary insights platform in the first quarter of 2026 featuring an AI-powered “intelligence advisor” intended to provide clients real-time access to ISG’s data and analysis on technology markets and software providers.
Separately, the company cited a Nasdaq ranking that placed ISG among the top 8% of Nasdaq-listed information technology companies with market capitalizations below $1 billion for 2025 share price performance, noting that ISG shares rose 78% in 2025.
