Isometric announced it raised $40 million in Series A funding to expand its agentic certification platform across the industrial economy. The round was led by AVP, which counts global insurer AXA as an anchor investor.
The round also included participation from all of Isometric’s existing institutional investors, including Plural and Lowercarbon Capital, along with personal investments from John Doerr and Walter Kortschak.
Isometric is focused on certification for industrial projects that need to prove claims tied to regulatory, safety, and sustainability standards. The company said certification is increasingly important as AI, automation, and decarbonization drive renewed growth across the industrial economy.
The company’s agentic certification platform, Certify, uses AI agents to read and cross-check large volumes of data behind a claim, including sensor readings, satellite imagery, supply chain records, and lab results. The system flags discrepancies and surfaces cases requiring expert judgment, enabling auditors to review a broader set of evidence more quickly.
Isometric said certification processes have historically been manual and could take 12 months or more. With Certify, the company said work that previously took months can now be completed in hours while maintaining rigor.
The company first applied its approach in carbon removal, where Isometric said it has become the largest certification company after being contracted for more than 16 million tonnes to date. Its certification is relied upon by Microsoft, Anglo American, JPMorganChase, Boeing, and more than 200 industrial projects globally.
The new funding makes Isometric the best-capitalized certifier in the carbon markets and will support its expansion into broader industrial economy use cases.
KEY QUOTES:
“Isometric is exactly the kind of frontier AI success story we want to see built and scaled in the UK – turning world-leading ideas into global businesses that attract top international investment. This investment shows how, with the right support to access talent and scale, Britain can be the best place in the world to grow the next generation of world-changing companies.”
Blair McDougall, Minister for Economic Transformation
“Certification has always forced a choice between speed and rigor. Isometric has eliminated that compromise. Eamon and the team have built a genuinely category-defining company, and their agentic AI platform has the potential to transform certification across the industrial economy. We’re thrilled to partner with them as they scale that vision.”
