ITE Management Acquires NACPC To Expand Chassis Platform Beyond 60,000 Assets

ITE Management has acquired North American Chassis Pool Cooperative, expanding its North American intermodal chassis platform to more than 60,000 assets. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

NACPC contributes more than 20,000 chassis serving major intermodal markets across North America. The acquisition strengthens ITE’s presence along key freight corridors and broadens the leasing options available to transportation and logistics customers.

Intermodal chassis are wheeled frames used to move shipping containers between ports, rail terminals, warehouses and distribution centers. Reliable chassis availability is essential for transferring freight efficiently between ships, trains and trucks.

The acquisition brings NACPC together with Milestone Chassis and Trend Intermodal, the other businesses within ITE’s chassis platform. The combined operation offers coast-to-coast coverage and a diversified fleet of relatively young, premium equipment.

Customers will have access to term leases, daily rentals, chassis pools and customized programs. Chassis pools allow multiple transportation providers to draw equipment from a shared fleet within a particular market or freight hub.

NACPC, Milestone and Trend will initially continue operating under their existing brands. Darren Hawkins, CEO of NACPC, will lead the combined platform as ITE gradually integrates the three businesses.

ITE expects the combination to preserve the individual identities and customer relationships of each company while creating a larger national platform. The expanded business is intended to provide broader equipment availability and more consistent service across regional markets.

The transaction supports ITE’s strategy of investing in essential transportation infrastructure with recurring lease revenue and assets that can remain productive throughout economic cycles. It was completed through funds managed by ITE Management.

Founded in 2014, ITE owns and operates nearly $12 billion of industrial infrastructure assets across rail, intermodal, aviation and other transportation markets as of July 2026. The firm focuses on long-lived equipment supported by stable lease arrangements and long-term contracts.

Willkie Farr & Gallagher served as legal counsel to ITE, while SMG Securities acted as its financial advisor. Butler Snow provided legal counsel to NACPC.
