Iterative Health announced the acquisition of three cardiology research sites from NextStage Clinical Research, expanding the company’s cardiovascular clinical trial capabilities across Texas.
The newly acquired sites are located in Beaumont, Port Arthur, and Waco, Texas. According to the company, the centers bring experienced cardiovascular research teams, established community provider relationships, and active cardiology trial programs, strengthening Iterative Health’s position in one of the highest-need therapeutic areas in healthcare.
Cardiovascular disease affects nearly half of U.S. adults, but access to clinical trials remains inconsistent across many communities. Iterative Health said its site network strategy focuses on embedding clinical research within community care environments, enabling patients to access advanced therapies and medical devices closer to home while helping sponsors recruit more representative patient populations.
The acquisition expands Iterative Health’s growing cardiology footprint while complementing its broader capabilities in gastroenterology, hepatology, and obesity research. The company currently operates a global network of more than 100 clinical research sites across three continents.
Iterative Health said its infrastructure includes a 250-person team supporting clinical, regulatory, operational, and financial functions across therapeutic areas. The company also utilizes proprietary AI and engineering tools designed to accelerate patient recruitment, improve operational efficiency, and optimize trial design.
Donald S. Cross, MD, MHCDS, FACC, cardiologist and principal investigator at Waco Cardiology Associates, said the partnership will help expand the reach of cardiovascular research across Texas.
