ITT announced that it has completed its acquisition of privately held Aerospace Contacts. The purchase price for the transaction was $31 million.
Aerospace Contacts is a manufacturer of critical, high-reliability precision contacts. Its product portfolio primarily includes custom contacts, housings, and shells used in demanding connector applications.
The company has specialized capabilities supporting high-mix, custom contact requirements for harsh-environment connector applications. These capabilities are particularly relevant for aerospace and defense customers that require precision components designed for reliability in mission-critical environments.
Most of Aerospace Contacts’ annual sales are generated from customers in the Americas. These customers primarily serve the aerospace and defense end markets.
Aerospace Contacts has also been a long-standing supplier of ITT Cannon. ITT said the acquisition will strengthen supply chain resilience within its Connect & Control Technologies business.
The deal gives ITT additional control over a key supplier relationship while expanding its specialized manufacturing capabilities. It also positions the company for further growth in a strategic market tied to aerospace and defense connectivity.
ITT’s Connect & Control Technologies business provides solutions for applications that require reliable connections, control, and performance in demanding operating environments. Aerospace Contacts’ precision contact capabilities are expected to complement this platform and support customers with complex technical requirements.
ITT is a diversified manufacturer of highly engineered critical components and customized technology solutions. The company serves the transportation, industrial, nutrition and health, and energy markets.
ITT operates through three value centers: Flow Technologies, Motion Technologies, and Connect & Control Technologies. Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, the company has employees in more than 40 countries and sales in approximately 125 countries.
