J.P. Morgan Asset Management: $1 Billion Raised For Second Co-Investment Fund

By Amit Chowdhry • Nov 24, 2025

J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Private Equity Group has closed its second dedicated co-investment vehicle, PEG Co-Investment Fund II, with $1 billion in commitments, surpassing its original $750 million target. The raise includes capital from the PEG team and represents a significant expansion of the group’s long-standing co-investment program focused on small- and middle-market buyouts.

The new fund builds on PEG’s established investment strategy, which emphasizes partnering alongside private equity sponsors to identify high-growth companies across diversified sectors and geographies. COIN II follows the group’s inaugural 2021 co-investment fund, which secured $667 million and is now fully deployed across a broad portfolio of private companies.

J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Private Equity Group has over four decades of experience and currently manages $36 billion in assets for institutional and private wealth clients worldwide. Its network comprises more than 250 private equity sponsor relationships, offering, the firm says, a deep, proprietary pipeline of co-investment opportunities. The platform provides multiple entry points for investors, including commingled strategies and customized mandates.

The broader J.P. Morgan Asset Management organization oversees $4 trillion in assets as of September 30, 2025, serving global institutional clients, individual investors, and high-net-worth households across equity, fixed income, real estate, hedge funds, private equity, and liquidity strategies. Parent company JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the world’s largest financial institutions, reported $4.6 trillion in assets and $360 billion in stockholders’ equity as of the same period, serving consumers, businesses, and major institutions across its banking and asset management franchises.
