Jaipur Robotics, an AI company using computer vision and automation to improve waste plant operations, announced that it has raised €4.3 million in Seed funding co-led by EquityPitcher Ventures and High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF).
The Switzerland-based company plans to use the funding to expand into new geographic markets, deepen its technology platform and pursue market leadership as it deploys its AI operating system across additional waste-to-energy and industrial facilities.
Jaipur Robotics develops technology that analyzes waste streams using computer vision and converts plant data into operational insights that can improve safety, combustion efficiency, crane operations and automation.
The company estimates there are more than 3,100 waste-to-energy plants worldwide, representing a market worth approximately €40 billion, with many facilities still dependent on manual monitoring and analog operational processes.
Jaipur Robotics said deployments of its technology have produced an 80% reduction in unplanned shutdowns through real-time hazard detection and generated more than €1 million in additional value per plant annually through better waste mixing and calorific-value mapping.
The platform can also provide predictive guidance for crane operations, helping automate waste handling and improve plant productivity.
A significant part of the company’s competitive position comes from its dataset. Jaipur Robotics said it has assembled what it describes as Europe’s largest waste-to-energy dataset, containing more than 50 million labeled images.
Its system analyzes more than 5 million tonnes of waste annually and can identify hazardous materials with 99% accuracy.
Founded in 2024, Jaipur Robotics is headquartered at Technopole Ticino in Manno, near Lugano, Switzerland. The company has grown to a 40-person team and operates two R&D centers in Switzerland and Asia. Its technology is also applicable to industrial environments including cement and biomass plants.
The company is continuing to hire across AI, engineering and commercial roles as it scales the platform internationally.
