Jam & Tea Studios recently announced that it had raised over $3m in seed funding to pioneer a new generation of multiplayer role-playing video games. This funding round was led by games sector expert London Venture Partners, with participation from Sisu Game Ventures and 1Up Ventures.
The company was founded by games industry veterans J Aaron Farr, M Yichao, and T Carl Kwoh – who have experience from Riot Games, Wizards of the Coast, Phoenix Labs, Singularity 6, and more. And the company utilizes technological innovations in AI to create new game experiences that were previously impossible.
Joining the founders are Sam Bong, COO; Jake Mott, Principal Designer; Max Shawabkeh, Gameplay Engineer; and Yudi Xue, ML Engineer. The team and the founders bring their past experiences working on titles like League of Legends, Guild Wars 2, Magic the Gathering, Rocket League, Fortnite, Warhammer 40k, Palia, and Dauntless.
