Encore Consumer Capital announced that Jamie Schwartz rejoined the investment team as a Director after working at the firm as an Associate about eight years ago. Schwartz will be responsible for deal origination and execution along with portfolio company management.
Encore is a private equity firm that invests exclusively in consumer products companies. It targets manufacturers, distributors, and brands with annual revenues of $10 million to $150 million. Encore recently closed its fourth flagship fund with $258 million in commitments.
Before rejoining Encore, Schwartz was the COO of Remedy Drinks, a global shelf-stable functional beverage company. There, he oversaw a team of over 50 employees and helped grow the brand fivefold in sales in three years. Before Remedy, Schwartz was an investor at CAVU Consumer Partners, where he served on the boards of several consumer brands, such as Poppi, Bulletproof, Chef’s Cut, Skinny Dipped, and WTRMLN WTR.
Schwartz received a B.A. in Economics and Public Policy from Brown University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. While at Columbia, Schwartz was a Private Equity Fellow.
