Janus Henderson Teams With Percepta And Anthropic To Build AI-Native Investment And Client Tools

Janus Henderson announced a collaboration with Percepta, a General Catalyst transformation company, and Anthropic to develop AI-native tools aimed at transforming investment research and client engagement across the global asset manager.

The firm, which manages nearly half a trillion dollars in assets on behalf of approximately 75 million clients worldwide, said it is deploying Anthropic’s Claude models across the organization while building custom applications designed specifically for investment and distribution teams.

One of the new platforms, PRISM, is a client intelligence and engagement system for Janus Henderson’s distribution teams. Powered by Claude, the platform helps sales and marketing personnel prioritize outreach, analyze internal and external data, understand client holdings and needs, and prepare personalized communications.

The company is also developing LIBROS, an AI-native research management platform for investment professionals. The tool combines Janus Henderson’s proprietary research with external research and public market data, helping analysts and portfolio managers identify relevant information more efficiently and spend more time on investment decisions.

Beyond the specialized applications, Janus Henderson is introducing Claude more broadly throughout the company. Engineering teams will use Claude Code, while employees across investment, distribution, and corporate functions will have access to Cowork.

Percepta is working alongside Janus Henderson’s technology, investment, and distribution teams to build PRISM and LIBROS and to establish the data infrastructure connecting Claude with the firm’s proprietary research, client information, and market datasets.

According to the companies, the embedded development approach addresses one of the key challenges facing AI adoption in asset management, namely that generic AI tools often fail to fit the workflows of active investment managers. Instead of relying on off-the-shelf software, the initiative focuses on integrating frontier AI models with proprietary data and redesigning core processes.

Janus Henderson views artificial intelligence as a way to enhance human expertise rather than replace it. The company said the effort builds on its broader initiatives involving AI and tokenization and supports its goal of becoming a highly technologically sophisticated asset manager.

Percepta specializes in embedding AI engineers, researchers, and product managers within enterprises to develop AI-native workflows and decision-making systems. Anthropic, developer of the Claude family of models, focuses on building reliable and safe AI systems.
