Prep Network, a youth sports platform spanning live events, subscription content, and collegiate athlete recruitment, has appointed two-time Hall of Famer and Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd to its Board of Directors.
The appointment follows Prep Network’s strategic partnership with Maple Park Capital Partners, which was established in September 2025 to support the company’s platform expansion and product innovation. Kidd serves as an Operating Advisor at Maple Park.
Prep Network said Kidd brings more than three decades of experience across professional and youth sports, including 19 seasons as an NBA player and 12 seasons as a coach. He is also the founder of the Jason Kidd Foundation, which focuses on expanding access to sports and education. The foundation, originally launched in 1999 and relaunched in 2020, has expanded programs including JK Select Girls Basketball and the recently announced JK Select Baseball, with an emphasis on access, mentorship, and long-term athlete development.
Prep Network said it plans to draw on Kidd’s perspective as an athlete, coach, and youth sports advocate as it grows its national event footprint and expands content aimed at athletes, families, and coaches.
The company, headquartered in Plymouth, Minnesota, positions itself as a leading authority for youth and high school sports analysis, rankings, tournaments, and showcases. Prep Network operates eight owned-and-operated media properties, publishes more than 4,000 articles each month, and hosts more than 450 events annually across the United States.
Maple Park Capital Partners, based in Dallas and New York, invests in North American services businesses, with focus areas that include multi-unit operators, franchisors, and franchisees, youth enrichment, travel and hospitality, and business services.
