Jazz: $61 Million Raised For AI-Powered Data Loss Prevention Platform

Jazz, a cybersecurity company focused on modernizing data loss prevention (DLP), has emerged from stealth with $61 million in seed and Series A funding to build an AI-driven platform that analyzes how enterprise data is actually used. The round was led by Glilot Capital Partners and Team8, with participation from Ten Eleven Ventures (1011vc), Merlin Ventures, Encoded Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, and several cybersecurity entrepreneurs.

The company is aiming to transform DLP from a rule-based compliance tool into an intelligence system that understands intent, context, and risk across enterprise workflows. Jazz says its platform can explain data usage and potential risks in plain English, helping security teams detect real threats without the operational noise that has long plagued traditional DLP systems.

DLP tools are designed to prevent sensitive corporate information, such as product roadmaps, source code, customer data, and financial documents, from being exposed through everyday employee actions. Examples include sending files to the wrong destination, pasting confidential information into generative AI tools, or accessing data through unmanaged applications. However, for decades these systems have relied on static rule sets that often generate overwhelming volumes of alerts, creating friction for both security teams and employees.

According to Verizon’s 2025 Data Breach Investigations Report, human actions contribute to roughly 60 percent of data breaches. Mistakes, insider misuse, or social engineering attacks frequently result in sensitive information leaving company systems. Many organizations therefore face a tradeoff between maintaining strict controls and preserving business agility. Some teams run legacy DLP programs primarily for compliance purposes while struggling with thousands of alerts, while others avoid deploying them altogether due to the operational burden.

Jazz replaces traditional rule-based approaches with what it calls an “Agentic Investigator.” Rather than requiring security teams to anticipate every possible scenario and configure rules manually, the system learns how an organization’s workflows operate and evaluates each event in context. It analyzes the user involved, the data accessed, the system used, and the surrounding business process to determine intent and distinguish legitimate activity from potential data risk.

In a deployment within a 5,000-employee organization, the company says its platform reduced tens of thousands of low-confidence alerts per day to roughly ten pre-investigated incidents that security teams could review. Jazz reports that its technology is already running in dozens of production environments, including at companies such as Lemonade, AlphaSense, and CAVA.

The startup was founded by Ido Livneh, who serves as chief executive officer; Jake Tuertskey, chief AI officer; Noam Issachar, chief business officer; and Yonatan Zohar, chief technology officer. The founding team includes veterans of Unit 81 and alumni of cybersecurity companies including Axonius and Laminar.

With the new funding, Jazz plans to scale its platform globally, expand enterprise adoption, and invest in engineering, research, and go-to-market operations as it seeks to establish itself as a next-generation leader in the data security category.

KEY QUOTES

“For years, security leaders have been stuck choosing between protecting their data and maintaining their business agility. Traditional DLP was built on rigid rules that don’t understand how modern work actually happens, which leaves teams drowning in noise while real risks slip through. Jazz changes that by deeply understanding intent and context in every incident, finally delivering meaningful risk reduction without slowing the business down.”
Ido Livneh, Co-Founder And Chief Executive Officer, Jazz

“In large financial institutions, the sheer volume of data and the complexity of regulations make traditional DLP difficult to manage. Jazz’s AI-native, context-driven platform is the only scalable way to manage data risk in the modern enterprise.”
Oliver Newbury, Former Global Chief Information Security Officer, Barclays

“For more than 20 years, DLP has forced security teams into an unfair tradeoff: accept the risk, or accept the operational pain. Jazz stands out because it leverages AI to rethink and rebuild the category from first principles. The team’s pace, earning more than a dozen paying customers in its first year, is proof the market has been waiting for this.”
Kobi Samboursky, Co-Founder And Managing Partner, Glilot Capital Partners

“It is rare to see a company achieve this caliber of customer traction and measurable outcomes so early, especially in a category as notoriously difficult as DLP. Jazz didn’t just incrementally improve DLP; they fundamentally solved the friction that has plagued this category for two decades. By replacing brittle rule-writing with deep contextual understanding of intent, they are delivering real risk reduction without slowing the business down. We believe Jazz is defining the inevitable future of data security in the GenAI era.”
