JetScale AI, a Montréal-based cloud infrastructure optimization company, has raised $5.4 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round to accelerate growth and expand deployments across North America and Europe. The company was co-founded and is led by Mehdi Merai and Gabriel De Lisi, who previously co-founded, scaled, and exited machine learning company Dataperformers. JetScale AI was also co-founded by Diagram through its venture studio model, which has launched Canadian technology companies including Nesto and Dialogue.
The seed round was co-led by the Seed Venture Fund of the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and the Diagram ClimateTech Fund. Additional investors included Telegraph Ventures, Fondaction, Mavrik, Cycle Momentum, and Spring Impact Capital.
JetScale AI addresses the growing complexity of enterprise cloud infrastructure as organizations face rapidly expanding cloud environments and rising costs. The surge in AI workloads has further intensified pressure on cloud spending, making cloud computing one of the largest budget items for many companies. JetScale AI’s platform delivers instant diagnostics, clear action plans, and easy-to-implement remediations, enabling IT teams to complete tasks in minutes that previously required weeks of specialized expert work. The platform aims to drive cost savings, reduce the environmental impact of overburdened data centers, and enable more efficient and secure cloud infrastructure.
Founded and headquartered in Montréal, JetScale AI develops an AI-powered platform designed to help technology teams improve system reliability and gain stronger control over cloud costs, as digital performance and environmental responsibility become increasingly interconnected.
KEY QUOTES
“The rapid adoption of our solution by our first clients, combined with a funding round that exceeded our expectations, confirms the relevance of our vision. We are now ready to accelerate innovation, strengthen our teams and expand our reach to make cloud optimization more accessible, reliable and sustainable.”
Mehdi Merai, CEO, JetScale AI
“JetScale AI is redefining how organizations manage cloud complexity as compute demand accelerates, delivering meaningful cost, energy, and sustainability gains. We’re proud to support Mehdi and Gabriel as they build a Canadian champion that replaces fragmented, manual cloud optimization with a scalable, automated platform built for modern infrastructure at global scale. They are exactly the kinds of innovators the Seed Venture Fund partners with, fully aligned with BDC’s mission as a development bank.”
Dinar Ahmed, Partner, Seed Venture Fund, Business Development Bank of Canada
“JetScale AI is propelling cloud FinOps into a new era by revolutionizing cost optimization analytics. Powered by AI, JetScale AI’s speed of execution guarantees an optimal ROI, even within large-scale infrastructures.”
Denis Dallaire, CIO And Co-Founder, Gologic
“We’re excited to partner with Mehdi and Gabriel to tackle the massive and fast-growing problem of cloud energy use, especially as unprecedented compute demand strains the electric grid. JetScale AI is redefining cloud engineering by building the AI-powered control layer that enterprises have been missing to continuously optimize their infrastructure. Eliminating waste from overprovisioned resources is a win-win: it offers meaningful cost savings for customers and reduces energy waste. This aligns perfectly with Diagram ClimateTech’s mission to back market-driven digital solutions for climate’s biggest challenges.”
