JetScale AI, a Montréal-based company focused on cloud infrastructure optimization, has raised an oversubscribed $5.4 million seed funding round to accelerate expansion across North America and Europe.
The round was co-led by the Seed Venture Fund of the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and the Diagram ClimateTech Fund, with participation from Telegraph Ventures, Fondaction, Mavrik, Cycle Momentum, and Spring Impact Capital. JetScale AI was co-founded through Diagram’s venture studio model, which has also launched Canadian technology companies, including Nesto and Dialogue.
Led by co-founders Mehdi Merai and Gabriel De Lisi, JetScale AI develops an AI-powered platform designed to help organizations manage and optimize rapidly growing cloud infrastructure. The founders previously co-founded and exited machine learning company Dataperformers.
As enterprises scale cloud operations and AI workloads, cloud computing expenses have become one of the largest budget items for many companies. JetScale AI’s platform provides instant diagnostics, actionable optimization plans, and automated remediation tools that reduce tasks previously requiring weeks of specialized expertise to minutes of execution by IT teams.
The company says its solution delivers direct cost savings, reduces environmental impact associated with overprovisioned data centers, and strengthens infrastructure efficiency and security. The funding will support continued product innovation, team expansion, and broader market deployment.
JetScale AI is headquartered in Montréal and positions its platform as a way to align digital performance with environmental responsibility as compute demand continues to grow globally.
KEY QUOTES:
“The rapid adoption of our solution by our first clients, combined with a funding round that exceeded our expectations, confirms the relevance of our vision. We are now ready to accelerate innovation, strengthen our teams and expand our reach to make cloud optimization more accessible, reliable and sustainable.”
Mehdi Merai, Chief Executive Officer of JetScale AI
“JetScale AI is redefining how organizations manage cloud complexity as compute demand accelerates, delivering meaningful cost, energy, and sustainability gains. We’re proud to support Mehdi and Gabriel as they build a Canadian champion that replaces fragmented, manual cloud optimization with a scalable, automated platform built for modern infrastructure at global scale. They are exactly the kinds of innovators the Seed Venture Fund partners with, fully aligned with BDC’s mission as a development bank.”
Dinar Ahmed, Partner at the Seed Venture Fund, Business Development Bank of Canada
“JetScale AI is propelling cloud FinOps into a new era by revolutionizing cost optimization analytics. Powered by AI, JetScale AI’s speed of execution guarantees an optimal ROI, even within large-scale infrastructures.”
Denis Dallaire, Chief Information Officer and Co-founder of Gologic
“We’re excited to partner with Mehdi and Gabriel to tackle the massive and fast-growing problem of cloud energy use, especially as unprecedented compute demand strains the electric grid. JetScale AI is redefining cloud engineering by building the AI-powered control layer that enterprises have been missing to continuously optimize their infrastructure. Eliminating waste from overprovisioned resources is a win-win: it offers meaningful cost savings for customers and reduces energy waste. This aligns perfectly with Diagram ClimateTech’s mission to back market-driven digital solutions for climate’s biggest challenges.”
Amélie Foz-Couture, General Partner and Co-Head of Diagram ClimateTech Fund
