Jetstream Venture Fund has made new investments in ImageAiD and Moonrise Medical, expanding its healthtech portfolio with two companies developing AI-enabled vascular diagnostic technologies.
Both companies are focused on improving the detection and management of Peripheral Artery Disease, or PAD, which affects more than 200 million people globally and approximately 12 million people in the U.S.
Jetstream sees the investments as aligned with its strategy of backing technologies that move sophisticated diagnostic capabilities closer to the point of care.
ImageAiD combines Mayo Clinic-validated research with a handheld Doppler device and predictive AI software. The platform is designed to identify PAD potentially years before physical symptoms become apparent and make screening more practical in primary-care settings.
Moonrise Medical is taking a related approach to vascular diagnostics by automating Doppler ultrasound assessments and Pedal Acceleration Time calculations.
The technology is designed to enable frontline clinicians to conduct vascular-health evaluations without requiring specialized sonographers for every assessment.
For Jetstream, the two investments represent a broader thesis around using software, AI, and automation to move advanced diagnostic capabilities earlier in the patient-care process.
Rather than waiting until vascular disease has progressed to the point where symptoms or tissue damage become apparent, technologies such as these are intended to make earlier identification more accessible within routine clinical workflows.
Jetstream also said its healthtech investment strategy benefits from the operational, clinical, healthcare commercialization, and venture backgrounds of its leadership team, which it uses to identify specialized early-stage opportunities.
The fund operates with a $5,000 minimum initial investment and no carried interest. Its portfolio also includes positions in companies such as SpaceX, Shield AI, and Hill Research.
