JMI Equity (JMI) – a growth equity firm focused on investing in leading software companies – recently announced the promotions of Lindsay Mehta to Director, Investor Relations & Marketing, and Christian Kurth to Principal. And Mehta will continue to lead the Firm’s relationships with its limited partners and marketing initiatives. As a Principal, Kurth will provide strategic and operational support to JMI’s portfolio companies while continuing to source and evaluate investment opportunities. Plus, JMI announced the promotions of Dina Berdichevsky and Josh Wang to Vice President.
As Director, Mehta will play a pivotal role in the Firm’s fundraising strategies and will continue to foster new and current investor relationships.
And Mehta, based in Baltimore, helped lead the firm’s $2.4 billion fundraising for JMI Fund XI, which closed earlier this year, and its $1.7 billion fundraising for JMI Fund X, which closed in 2021. Plus, Mehta has been part of the JMI team since joining as Vice President, Investor Relations & Marketing in 2020. She holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a BA in Business and Economics from Washington College.
Kurth, based in San Diego, sources and evaluates JMI’s investment opportunities with a focus in the digital health space. And his investment experience includes TimelyCare, Jane Software, and Canto. Before joining JMI in 2015, Kurth was an investment banking analyst in the technology group at Wells Fargo. Plus, he received a BS in Accounting and Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
Berdichevsky, based in Washington, D.C., joined JMI in 2019. And her investment experience includes Unanet (where she serves as a member of the Board of Directors), Employee Navigator, and Huntress. Before JMI, she was an investment banking analyst at DC Advisory. And she received a BS in Economics and Statistics from Carnegie Mellon University.
Wang, based in San Diego, joined JMI in 2019. Wang’s investment experience includes Jane Software, OpenSesame, and TimelyCare, and he has expertise in the digital health space. And he received a BS in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
