- OpenX announced its current CEO Tim Cadogan and will be succeeded by John Gentry
OpenX announced its current CEO Tim Cadogan is stepping down after 12 years and is going to be replaced by current president John Gentry. Cadogan is going to become CEO of GoFundMe and will remain as the chairman of OpenX.
In an interview with Adweek, Cadogan said that the job move is a “fresh learning experience” that is going to mirror the fast rate of change that is involved in building an advertising technology company in the past decade.
“I wanted something with more of a social dimension,” said Cadogan via Adweek. “And GoFundMe has a powerful social purpose.”
This management shift comes following a year of strategic overhaul at the company — which started with reducing the staff count at the company by 100 people in late 2018. And the company moved its infrastructure to the Google Cloud Platform.
