Jolt Capital, a growth-focused private equity firm specializing in European technology companies, announced that Reza Zadno has joined the firm as an Operating Partner based in San Francisco.
Zadno is a veteran medical device executive with more than 35 years of industry experience and a track record of creating significant shareholder value. He previously served as President and CEO of PROCEPT BioRobotics and Avedro, leading both companies through their IPOs and periods of substantial commercial and organizational expansion. He was also the founder, President and CEO of Visiogen, which was acquired by Abbott, and co-founder and CTO of Percusurge, which was acquired by Medtronic.
In addition to his executive leadership roles, Zadno has experience as a Venture Partner at InterWest Partners and as an Innovation Advisor at Novartis Fund. He has served on the boards of multiple private and public companies, as well as on the board of trustees of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
At Jolt Capital, Zadno joins a seasoned group of operating partners that includes executives with backgrounds at companies such as NetApp, Flex, HTC, Maersk, Sofinnova, Zodiac Aerospace, Bayer and Air France-KLM. The firm said his medtech leadership strengthens its platform and enhances its ability to partner with management teams across the healthcare and medical technology sectors, particularly in data-augmented medical devices such as BIOSerenity and BOYDSense.
Zadno holds a PhD from Ecole des Mines in Paris and has filed more than 100 U.S. patents.
