Jones Day has added Ariele L. Cohen as a partner in its Corporate Practice in New York, strengthening the firm’s capabilities advising private investment funds, investment advisers and institutional investors.
Cohen advises clients on fund structuring, formation and ongoing operations, including private offering memoranda, limited partnership agreements and side-letter negotiations.
She also represents institutional investors making investments in hedge funds, private equity funds and real estate funds, as well as clients involved in co-investment transactions.
Cohen joins Jones Day’s global Corporate Practice, which encompasses M&A and private equity. During the past five years, the firm has advised on more than 3,000 M&A transactions with an aggregate value of approximately $1.5 trillion.
Cohen earned her J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Brandeis University. She is admitted in New York and New Jersey and previously served as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Chancery Court in Newark, New Jersey.
