Jones Walker has appointed Emma Moppert as special counsel in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and environmental litigation team.
Moppert will be based in Jones Walker’s New Orleans office and focus on insurance defense, general liability, toxic tort and workers’ compensation matters.
She represents insurers, employers and corporate clients in disputes before state and federal courts and workers’ compensation tribunals.
Her experience covers the full litigation process, including early case assessment, motion practice, discovery, trial, settlement and mediation.
Moppert has successfully tried bench cases and regularly drafts and argues motions and exceptions.
She also conducts and defends depositions involving plaintiffs, corporate representatives, fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
Her toxic tort work includes cases involving alleged chemical and benzene exposure. She has also guided clients through private and court-ordered mediation proceedings.
