JotPsych, a leader in AI scribing for behavioral health, has raised $5 million in seed funding from Base10 Partners. Their AI scribe significantly reduces documentation time and customizes to clinician preferences.

In the past year, JotPsych experienced a growth rate of over 1,300% and managed more than 1 million patient encounters. The company plans to develop a fully autonomous Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Founded in 2023 by CEO Nathan Peereboom and CTO Jackson Bierfeldt, JotPsych aims to automate scheduling, billing, e-prescriptions, and care coordination to eliminate administrative tasks for clinicians.

Base10’s investment will enhance features such as integrated intake forms, automated coding, and intelligent scheduling, further reducing clinician workload and improving patient outcomes.

KEY QUOTES:

“When we launched JotPsych, our mandate was simple: slash the 4+ hours a day clinicians waste on narrative paperwork. Now, with Base10’s support, we’re shifting into high gear to build the first AI EHR that streamlines every leg of the patient journey. By removing any liquidity concerns for the foreseeable future, this partnership grants us our most precious resource: focus.”

“We believe AI will transform healthcare, and JotPsych has the right team, technology, and traction to lead that charge. In the next few years, there will be a landgrab among agentic EHR solutions—platforms that don’t just document care but actively orchestrate it. JotPsych is positioned to pioneer this new era.”
