Journeo reported record first-half revenue of £37.6 million, up 53%, as organic growth and acquisitions expanded the intelligent transport and critical infrastructure technology company’s operations.
Gross profit increased 57% to £14.5 million, with gross margin increasing to 39% from 38%. Underlying profit increased 16% to £3 million, while diluted EPS rose to 13.60 pence from 12.51 pence.
Journeo ended the period with £12.6 million in cash, after paying £10.7 million for the acquisition of Crime and Fire Defence Systems in September 2025.
Information Systems revenue increased 40% to £13.9 million, with underlying profit rising 26% to £1.2 million. The segment benefited from passenger information projects and increased activity in the U.S., including $1.2 million of orders from Outfront Media Group for displays across Boston’s MBTA network.
Infrastructure Protection generated £10.6 million in revenue and £0.6 million of underlying profit during its first full half within Journeo. The business has secured contracts protecting critical utility infrastructure, including £2.4 million of awards under one four-year UK utility framework and another £1 million under a separate five-year framework.
Integrated Services revenue declined 2% to £14.4 million as delayed bus orders and supply-chain issues pushed some revenue into the second half. Journeo expects performance to improve as activity increases.
The company is also testing agentic AI software development tools, with early trials increasing the cadence of software releases and showing potential to improve engineering productivity without a proportional increase in development resources.
Journeo entered the second half with a £200 million sales opportunity pipeline, up from £80 million a year earlier, and expects another record full-year result in line with market expectations.
Its medium-term ambition is to grow beyond £150 million in annual revenue through organic expansion and disciplined acquisitions.
