J.P. Morgan Asset Management announced the launch of the JPMorgan Managed Futures Plus ETF (NASDAQ: JPFP), a new actively managed ETF designed to provide investors with long-term capital appreciation and diversification beyond traditional stock and bond portfolios. The fund began trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market and expands the firm’s growing active ETF platform.

JPFP combines broad exposure to U.S. equities with a managed futures strategy in a single investment vehicle. The ETF is designed to help investors maintain equity market exposure while adding a diversification component that has historically exhibited low, and at times negative, correlation to both equities and fixed income.

The managed futures portion of the portfolio utilizes proprietary quantitative models to establish long and short positions across global asset classes, including equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities. The U.S. equity allocation provides exposure to large-cap American stocks through a combination of direct equity holdings and equity index futures.

According to the company, the fund seeks to deliver a smoother investment experience and reduce drawdowns without requiring investors to significantly alter their existing portfolio allocations. JPFP is priced at 59 basis points.

The ETF is managed by J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Quantitative Solutions team, which operates within the firm’s Multi-Asset Solutions platform, a business overseeing $529 billion in assets as of March 31, 2026. The portfolio management team includes Dr. Yazann Romahi, Chief Investment Officer for Quantitative Solutions, along with Kartik Aiyar, Dr. Wei (Victor) Li, and Garrett Norman.

J.P. Morgan Asset Management reported managing $4.3 trillion in assets globally as of March 31, 2026. The firm serves institutional, retail, and high-net-worth clients across major markets worldwide and offers investment strategies spanning equities, fixed income, real estate, hedge funds, private equity, and liquidity solutions.

KEY QUOTES:

“Managed futures have historically shown low correlation to both stocks and bonds, suitable for advisors looking for ways to diversify beyond traditional portfolios. JPFP reflects our commitment to expanding our active ETF offering, giving clients a simple way to incorporate a source of diversification into their portfolios using an ETF wrapper.”

Travis Spence, Global Head of ETFs, J.P. Morgan Asset Management

“JPFP brings an approach we have used extensively in our multi-asset portfolios to individual investors in an ETF. It’s designed to complement portfolios across market cycles by helping investors maintain equity exposure while adding a managed futures strategy for diversification, especially during periods when traditional asset classes face headwinds.”
