Jurimesh: €1.6 Million (Pre-Seed) Secured To Advance AI-Based Legal Due Diligence

By Amit Chowdhry ● Feb 27, 2025

Jurimesh announced it has raised €1.6 million in pre-seed funding, led by Syndicate One and joined by several business angels. This funding will help refine its AI-driven due diligence platform and accelerate its European expansion. Syndicate One is a Belgian founder-led fund backing early-stage tech startups. Additional investors include business angels such as Matthias Geeroms (Lighthouse), Jeroen De Wit (Teamleader), Roeland Delrue (Aikido), Michiel Bearelle (Officient, Vendorvue), Kris Moeremans (Intersentia), Marc Coppens (Yuki), Koen Vandaele (Deloitte), Anthony De Clerck (Dovesco), Michiel Denis (Aikido, former Henchman), and others.

Lawyers usually spend weeks reviewing contracts manually, cross-checking clauses, and compiling reports, which is inefficient and prone to errors. Jurimesh integrates with data rooms, using advanced AI-powered document recognition and large language models to identify risks, suggest recommendations, and generate due diligence reports.

By working closely with M&A law firms, the company has proven that due diligence can be faster, more accurate, and far less labor-intensive.

With this investment, Jurimesh plans to:

— Enhance its AI capabilities to refine risk identification and improve legal reasoning.

— Expand across Europe by growing its commercial team and forming strategic partnerships.

— Develop new features to fully automate legal due diligence and eliminate manual work.

KEY QUOTES:

“Jurimesh helps us structure information faster and automatically identify contractual risks. It improves both efficiency and the quality of our legal advice.”

  • Davy Gorselé, managing partner at Quorum

“We believe Jurimesh is charting a new path in legal tech at a time when the market is increasingly eager for AI-driven solutions. While legal AI has so far largely focused on broad horizontal applications, Jorrit and Jasper impressed us with their sharp focus on perfecting the specific task of legal due diligence — demonstrating the next chapter in the evolution of legal AI.”
