Jusfy Raises $15 Million Series A Led By Quona Capital

Jusfy has raised $15 million in Series A funding led by Quona Capital to expand its AI-native operating system for legal professionals in Brazil. The round also included Thomson Reuters Ventures, The LegalTech Fund, Maya Capital, SaaSholic, Spectra, Fluent Ventures, Endeavor, FJ Labs and other investors.

Jusfy is developing a unified technology platform for Brazilian lawyers and law firms. The system is intended to replace fragmented workflows that often rely on separate court portals, spreadsheets, messaging applications and manual processes.

Brazil has more than 90 million active lawsuits and approximately 1.5 million licensed lawyers, according to Quona Capital. The investor also described the country as having the world’s highest concentration of lawyers per capita.

A large share of Brazilian lawyers operate independently or through small practices, creating demand for affordable technology that can help manage cases, draft documents, communicate with clients and organize administrative work.

Jusfy’s core AI product, JusGPT, is embedded within the platform’s existing legal workflow modules. This allows lawyers to use AI inside the tools where they already manage their practices rather than moving information into a separate general-purpose chatbot.

The technology is supported by a proprietary corpus of approximately 350 million legal records. This jurisdiction-specific dataset is intended to improve the system’s understanding of Brazilian law, judicial proceedings and legal terminology.

As firms adopt additional Jusfy modules, the company gains more context about their workflows and case activity. Quona believes this combination of workflow integration and proprietary data could strengthen customer retention and allow Jusfy to develop additional products.

The company is also expanding into embedded financial services through JusPay. The product is designed to bring payment functionality into the broader legal operating system.

Over time, Jusfy sees an opportunity to move beyond payments and potentially provide financing connected to legal claims. Traditional lenders may lack visibility into a lawyer’s active case pipeline, expected fees and claim outcomes, while Jusfy can obtain that information through the workflows managed on its platform.

This data could eventually support underwriting models tailored to lawyers, law firms and clients involved in litigation. Any expansion into financing would require the company to manage credit, regulatory and operational risks associated with financial products.

Jusfy was founded by CEO Rafael Saccol Bagolin, who operated a high-volume litigation practice for more than a decade before creating the platform.

The leadership team also includes Renato Sacramento Horta Moreira, who previously helped scale payments at Hotmart, and finance leader Emanuela Araujo.

The company plans to use the Series A funding to continue developing its AI and financial technology products, deepen its position in Brazil and expand the number of legal workflows handled through its platform.

Quona Capital said Jusfy’s access to case activity could create opportunities extending beyond law firm software. Improving how legal professionals manage information, payments and financing could also affect the individuals and businesses represented in the country’s millions of active cases.
