JWX Acquires Aug X Labs To Add GenAI Content Transformation To Publisher Platform

By Amit Chowdhry • Jan 15, 2026

JWX, a technology company that helps media businesses distribute and monetize content across platforms, said it has acquired Aug X Labs, the startup behind Augie Studio, an AI-assisted commercial video production tool.

JWX said the deal expands its platform beyond core video infrastructure by adding an LLM-powered layer designed to help publishers repurpose existing assets into multiple formats for modern distribution. Augie Studio will be incorporated into JWX Studio, enabling publishers to turn existing content—such as articles, podcasts, and long-form video—into platform-ready outputs including video, audio, and other multi-format experiences.

JWX said additional formats, including interactive content, games, and quizzes, are planned over time as part of its broader product roadmap. The company positioned the acquisition as a response to publisher demand for faster, more efficient content production workflows and new revenue opportunities in an increasingly fragmented media ecosystem.

All Aug X Labs employees will join JWX. Aug X Labs CEO and co-founder Jeremy Toeman will become SVP of AI Innovation, and will lead AI-first product development and help spearhead JWX Studio’s production services team. Augie CPO and co-founder JT White will become VP, Head of Content Studio.

Aug X Labs was founded in January 2022. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

As part of the transition, Augie will sunset its direct-to-consumer offering and focus exclusively on enterprise customers, with JWX citing plans for enhanced features and dedicated support aimed at publisher and media workflows.
