Kampala Capital announced the extension and upsize of a warehouse facility with private funds managed by O’Connor Capital Solutions, providing up to $80 million of financing to support loans originated by Kampala.
The expanded facility is intended to give Kampala additional institutional capital as the Monterrey, Mexico-based non-bank lender continues growing its portfolio.
Kampala provides short-term cross-currency financing to small and medium-sized businesses in Mexico, with a focus on importer and exporter clients.
The company said the new commitment follows significant portfolio growth and strong performance during 2026.
Kampala expects the expanded facility to support growth of its loan portfolio to more than $100 million over the next few years.
The transaction also extends a relationship between Kampala and O’Connor Capital Solutions that has lasted more than five years.
O’Connor said Kampala has expanded its portfolio while maintaining strong credit standards and operating processes.
The facility is part of O’Connor Capital Solutions’ broader specialty finance and lender finance strategy.
O’Connor Capital Solutions operates as the private credit strategy within O’Connor Alternative Investments, which is part of Cantor Fitzgerald Asset Management.
The platform invests across asset-based finance, including real estate, as well as corporate capital solutions.
O’Connor Capital Solutions has invested more than $6 billion since inception.
Kampala began operations in 2017 and focuses on financing foreign exchange loans for importer and exporter SMBs in Mexico.
The company said the larger facility will allow it to accelerate portfolio growth while maintaining its approach to credit selection, risk management, and operational execution.
