Karoo Health Raises $16.2 Million Series A To Expand Cardiovascular Care Platform

Karoo Health has raised $16.2 million in an oversubscribed Series A financing round to expand its AI-native technology platform for cardiovascular care. The round was co-led by 7wire Ventures and Allumia Ventures. First Trust Capital Partners, SpringRock Ventures, Hyde Park Angels and other investors also participated. As part of the financing, 7wire Ventures Managing Partner Lee Shapiro and Allumia Ventures Managing Partner Jeff Stolte will join Karoo Health’s board of directors.

Karoo is developing an operating system designed to connect health plans, cardiology practices and patients through a unified data and workflow platform. The technology combines clinical information, insurance claims, pharmacy records and patient data to support earlier risk detection and more coordinated treatment.

Cardiovascular care is often divided among multiple providers, data systems and organizations. Karoo aims to give care teams a more complete view of each patient so they can identify warning signs, coordinate interventions and manage chronic conditions more consistently.

The company plans to use the Series A proceeds to advance its predictive models and clinical signal-detection capabilities. Karoo will also develop its care coordination infrastructure and expand its engineering and clinical teams.

Additional funding will support the expansion of partnerships with health plans and cardiology practices across the United States. Karoo currently supports a network of more than 600 cardiovascular providers across 11 states and operates programs with national and regional health plans.

The company expects to launch additional health plan partnerships later in 2026. These arrangements are intended to integrate Karoo’s technology into existing care delivery models rather than establish a separate system for patients and providers.

Karoo said independent analyses of deployed programs found reductions of more than 40% in emergency department visits and inpatient admissions. Early results also indicated a greater than 10% reduction in total healthcare costs across attributed patient populations, although outcomes may vary among programs.

The platform is designed to detect clinical risks earlier and help care teams intervene before a patient requires emergency or inpatient treatment. It can also support ongoing management by coordinating information and responsibilities across cardiologists, health plans, pharmacies and patients.

7wire Ventures invests in early-stage digital health companies focused on creating a more connected and consumer-oriented healthcare system. The firm’s prior portfolio includes Livongo, which combined with Teladoc Health in an $18.5 billion transaction.

Allumia Ventures invests in commercial-stage healthcare companies developing new technologies and care delivery models. The firm has roots in Providence and uses relationships across health systems and the broader healthcare industry to support portfolio companies.

Karoo will use the new capital to scale its deployments while continuing to develop an operating platform capable of supporting cardiovascular care across large patient populations. Its broader goal is to make treatment more proactive, connected and data-driven.
