KBR has named Michael LaRouche President and CEO-Designate of Trinzic, the planned spin-off of its Mission Technology Solutions business. The company also announced the appointment of Gabe Butler as Vice President-Designate of Investor Relations, effective October 5, 2026.
Trinzic is expected to begin operating as an independent publicly traded company on January 4, 2027, subject to regulatory approvals, final approval from KBR’s board of directors, and other customary conditions.

LaRouche began his new role on September 24, 2026, taking responsibility for developing the prospective company’s strategy, accelerating growth, and overseeing preparations for its separation from KBR.
He brings approximately three decades of experience through senior leadership positions at Serco, SAIC, Raytheon, and Lockheed Martin.
His background spans government services, defense technology, and other businesses supporting complex national security missions.
As an independent business, Trinzic is expected to generate more than $5 billion in annual revenue and employ approximately 18,000 engineers, scientists, and other specialists.
The company will maintain approximately 60 locations worldwide, with its principal executive office in Arlington, Virginia.
Its operating portfolio will include integrated air and missile defense, human performance, global operations, space exploration, and space domain awareness.
These activities will position Trinzic as an independent contractor serving government agencies, defense organizations, and international partners.
Its proximity to Washington, D.C., is intended to support engagement with government customers, including the Pentagon and intelligence community.
LaRouche will oversee the development of Trinzic’s operating strategy as the business prepares to establish its own public-company infrastructure.
The separation is intended to allow Trinzic to focus on its national security and space-related markets while giving the remaining KBR business a more concentrated operating structure.
Following the planned transaction, Stuart Bradie will continue leading KBR, which will retain its Sustainable Technology Solutions business.
The remaining company will focus on industrial, energy, and infrastructure markets, including engineering, advisory, and technology-related services.
KBR currently employs approximately 15,000 people across more than 40 countries in its continuing operations.
Alongside LaRouche’s appointment, KBR announced that Butler will join as Trinzic’s incoming investor relations leader.
Butler brings more than 14 years of experience across program finance, investor relations, and financial planning and analysis.
He most recently served as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for the Government Operations segment at BWX Technologies.
Before that, he held finance and investor relations leadership positions at Leidos.
At Trinzic, Butler will help establish the company’s investor relations program and communicate its financial and strategic priorities to shareholders and analysts.
An early milestone will be Trinzic’s inaugural Investor Day, scheduled for November 12, 2026, in New York City.
The event will provide the incoming leadership team with an opportunity to outline the company’s strategic vision, growth strategy, and financial outlook ahead of the planned separation.
KBR expects the spin-off to be tax-free to the company and its shareholders for U.S. federal income tax purposes, subject to the applicable requirements.
The proposed separation has not yet been completed, and the January 2027 launch date remains conditional.
