Keepit has appointed Thomas McCrory as Vice President of Sales for the Americas as the cloud data protection company seeks to accelerate its regional expansion. McCrory will lead Keepit’s sales growth across the Americas and help organizations understand the role that protected, recoverable data can play in supporting artificial intelligence strategies. He joined the company on August 3 and is based in California.
Keepit said the appointment comes as organizations become increasingly dependent on software-as-a-service applications and generate larger volumes of data through the adoption of AI.
The company believes agentic AI is changing how businesses use, manage and protect information. As AI systems gain greater autonomy and access to business data, Keepit expects organizations to place more emphasis on maintaining clean, secure and recoverable copies of critical information.
McCrory brings more than 25 years of experience leading enterprise software sales organizations.
Most recently, he served as Vice President of Americas Sales at DataRobot. Before that, he was Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Incorta.
Earlier in his career, McCrory spent several years at Alteryx, where he built and scaled multiple enterprise sales teams.
At Keepit, McCrory will be responsible for expanding the company’s presence across the Americas, developing its sales organization and increasing awareness of its cloud data protection platform among enterprises investing in AI.
His appointment is also intended to support Keepit’s broader effort to position data protection as a foundational element of enterprise AI adoption.
Keepit provides a SaaS data protection platform that stores customer data in a separate, vendor-independent cloud.
The platform is designed to help organizations protect data associated with critical business applications, improve cyber resilience and maintain access to information following operational disruptions or cyberattacks.
Keepit emphasizes immutable storage, data sovereignty and the absence of third-party subprocessors within its data protection environment.
The company said this architecture is designed to help customers comply with local regulations, reduce the impact of ransomware and support business continuity and disaster recovery.
Keepit views recoverable data as especially important for companies deploying AI systems. Organizations using inaccurate, corrupted or inaccessible data may face operational and governance risks, while reliable backup and recovery systems can provide a trusted source of information.
The company is headquartered in Copenhagen and operates offices and data centers worldwide.
More than 25,000 companies use Keepit for cloud data backup and recovery.
