KGK Science Inc. has received a growth investment led by Maxim Partners. Financial terms were not disclosed.
KGK, founded in 1997, is a North American contract research organization specializing in clinical trials and regulatory services for the dietary supplement, nutraceutical, and consumer health industries. The company has completed more than 400 clinical trials across over 40 health indications and published more than 150 peer-reviewed publications.
The investment will support expanded clinical trial capacity, decentralized and virtual trial capabilities, and growth of KGK’s regulatory services. Founder and CEO Najla Guthrie and the existing management team will continue to lead the business. MLT Aikins served as legal advisor to Maxim Partners on the transaction.
