Kinetico Acquires Cielter And Enki Water To Expand In France And Italy

Kinetico acquired French water treatment company Cielter and Italian water treatment provider Enki Water, expanding its presence in two major European markets.

The transactions expand Kinetico’s local technical expertise, customer relationships, distribution capabilities, and service infrastructure across France and Italy.

Cielter was founded in 1972 and is based in Reims, France.

The company brings more than 50 years of water treatment experience and serves residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal customers throughout northeastern France.

Cielter distributes, installs, and services water softeners, filtration and refining systems, reverse osmosis systems, and water fountains.

It also provides maintenance contracts, consumables, and after-sales support for its own equipment as well as systems produced by other manufacturers.

Cielter will continue operating from Reims, with Frédéric Verson remaining as director.

Kinetico’s acquisition of Enki Water builds on a relationship dating back more than two decades.

Based in Bergamo, Enki Water has represented Kinetico in Italy since 2012, while founder Enrico Zanchi’s relationship with Kinetico began in 2004.

Enki has developed a nationwide network of sales agencies, authorized technical service centers, and distribution capabilities.

The company serves residential and commercial customers and supplies water treatment wholesalers on a business-to-business basis.

Kinetico said the two acquisitions will strengthen its in-market capabilities while allowing the acquired companies to draw on its international platform.
