Kinfolk: $7.2 Million Seed Funding Secured For AI Workforce Operations Platform

Kinfolk, a London-based AI workforce operations platform, announced it has raised $7.2 million in seed funding to expand its agentic AI technology designed to automate HR and people operations workflows. The round was led by AlbionVC, with participation from PROfounders Capital and existing investors Ascension and Emerge. Angel investors, including Tony Jamous, founder and executive chairman of OysterHR, also joined the financing.

The company is building an AI-native platform to address the operational burden faced by HR and people operations teams. As organizations scale while headcount shrinks, these teams are often responsible for managing growing volumes of employee requests, administrative tasks, and coordination across internal systems. Traditional HR ticketing systems adapted from IT and basic AI chatbots have struggled to keep up with the complexity and scale of these demands.

Kinfolk’s platform introduces a workforce operations layer powered by autonomous AI agents. Instead of simply answering questions, the system executes tasks across HR tools and collaboration platforms. The agents can manage workflows such as drafting employment documents, updating HRIS records, and coordinating employee lifecycle changes directly within Slack or Microsoft Teams.

By shifting HR operations from manual coordination to automated execution, Kinfolk aims to allow teams to scale operations without adding additional staff while maintaining oversight of policies and processes. The company said this approach has helped drive rapid adoption, including 5x annual recurring revenue growth during 2025.

Organizations, including Deliveroo, Hudl, and RetailNext, have deployed the platform to streamline internal operations. In some cases, the platform has replaced or supplemented traditional service management tools such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira. According to the company, its AI agents can autonomously handle up to 80% of Tier 0–1 employee requests, freeing roughly 45 days of administrative work annually for HR teams.

The new funding brings Kinfolk’s total capital raised to $8.5 million. The company plans to use the proceeds to accelerate development of its agentic AI platform and expand enterprise-grade capabilities. It also intends to broaden the platform beyond core HR workflows to support closer collaboration with payroll and IT teams while expanding its go-to-market organization.

KEY QUOTES:

“HR teams are stuck in a cycle of manual admin and legacy tools are failing them. They are forced to choose between clunky ticketing systems that employees hate, or basic chatbots that can’t actually get work done. We built Kinfolk to break this cycle. By shifting from manual coordination to autonomous execution, we let HR teams scale their operations and focus on the strategic work that actually drives company growth. We’re excited to give People teams the operating system they deserve, one that actually performs work instead of just managing it.”

Jeet Mukerji, Co-founder And CEO, Kinfolk

“We believe Kinfolk is set to become the backbone for the next generation of HR and workforce operation teams. Jeet and Kim are exceptional founders and bring deep experience from scaling AI products at Beamery. They have identified a massive opportunity to fix a legacy market dominated by outdated, rigid tools. The feedback from customers is that Kinfolk isn’t just another tool; it’s like adding a new, super-productive member to the team that allows them to focus on what matters most. We are delighted to support them on this journey.”
