Kinfolk, an AI native workforce operations platform designed for modern HR and People Operations teams, has raised $7 million in seed funding led by AlbionVC, with participation from PROfounders Capital, Ascension, Emerge, and angel investors including Tony Jamous and Saurav Chopra.
The company embeds autonomous AI agents directly into collaboration tools such as Slack and Microsoft Teams to execute workforce workflows end to end rather than simply respond to employee queries. Kinfolk is focused on reducing the operational burden on HR teams that are often required to manually coordinate across HR information systems, email, knowledge bases, and ticketing tools.
According to the company, traditional IT ticketing systems and standalone chatbots have struggled to meaningfully reduce manual workloads. Kinfolk’s platform is designed to draft documents, update HRIS records, manage employee lifecycle changes, and coordinate approvals across systems autonomously while keeping human oversight and policy controls in place.
The company reports that customers are seeing up to 70% of Tier 0 and Tier 1 employee requests handled without human intervention, allowing HR teams to reclaim an estimated 45 days per year previously spent on repetitive coordination tasks.
With the new funding, Kinfolk plans to expand its orchestration capabilities, strengthen enterprise grade features, and continue building out a broader workforce operations platform spanning HR, payroll, and IT workflows.
KEY QUOTES
“HR teams are stuck in a cycle of manual admin and legacy tools are failing them. They’re forced to choose between clunky ticketing systems that slow down work, or standalone chatbots that don’t get real work done. We built Kinfolk to break this cycle. By shifting from manual coordination to autonomous execution, we let HR teams scale their operations and focus on the strategic work that drives company growth.”
Jeet Mukerji, Co Founder And CEO, Kinfolk
“Employees don’t think in departmental silos. They simply want problems solved, and whether that sits with HR, IT, payroll, or workplace operations is irrelevant to them. Kinfolk replaces fragmented coordination with a single orchestration layer that sits across domains and moves things forward.”
