King & Spalding has added Thomas Voisin as a partner in its Paris office, continuing the expansion of the firm’s International Disputes practice.
Voisin becomes the ninth International Arbitration partner to join King & Spalding within three months, following the firm’s addition of an eight-partner international disputes team from Wilmer Hale across London, New York and Washington, D.C.
Voisin most recently served as Managing Partner of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan’s Paris office.
He represents European and international clients in complex commercial, construction and investment disputes, particularly matters governed by French law and other civil law systems.
Voisin has experience under major institutional arbitration rules including ICC, ICSID, LCIA and UNCITRAL, along with ad hoc proceedings. He has handled more than 100 arbitrations involving sectors such as oil and gas, power, construction, transportation, mining and aviation, often concerning projects in Europe and North Africa.
His arrival follows King & Spalding’s recruitment of an eight-partner team led by international arbitration lawyer Gary Born. That group also includes Charlie Caher, Steven Finizio, Rachael Kent, Marleen Krueger, Jonathan Lim, Danielle Morris and Franz Schwarz.
Voisin holds an M.Jur. from the University of Oxford and undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
