King & Spalding announced on March 26, 2026, that it has added capital markets attorney Daniel Nam as a partner in its corporate practice group in New York, strengthening the firm’s capabilities across debt and equity transactions.
Nam joins from White & Case, where he also served as a partner. His practice focuses on advising issuers, financial sponsors and investment banks on a broad range of financing transactions, including high-yield and investment-grade debt, as well as equity and equity-linked securities offerings. He also brings experience in bridge financings, debt tender offers, exchange offers, consent solicitations and general corporate and securities matters.
He has worked with both domestic issuers and companies with significant operations in Latin America, adding international depth to the firm’s capital markets platform.
King & Spalding said the hire enhances its broader corporate offering in New York and complements its strengths in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and disputes. The firm has been expanding its transactional capabilities to support sponsor-backed and cross-border deals.
Nam earned his J.D. and LL.M. in international and comparative law from Cornell Law School and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
King & Spalding is an international law firm with approximately 1,300 lawyers across 26 offices globally, advising a wide range of clients including half of the Fortune Global 100.
