Kintra Wealth Brings In $355 Million Firm Great Scott Financial Services

Great Scott Financial Services has joined Kintra Wealth, bringing approximately $355 million in client assets to the advisor-owned wealth management platform. The practice is led by Scott Seymour, who joins Kintra as Partner and Senior Wealth Advisor. Seymour brings nearly three decades of wealth management experience and has built his practice around long-term relationships with individuals and families spanning multiple generations.

Seymour entered the financial services industry in 1998, when he joined the advisory practice founded by his father in Morristown, New Jersey. He later took over leadership of the business through a succession plan that was completed when his father retired in 2010.

At Kintra, Seymour will continue leading Great Scott Financial Services while gaining access to a broader set of resources across investment management, operations, technology, compliance, marketing, and client service.

Kintra said the addition reflects its strategy of bringing experienced advisory practices into a collaborative operating model that allows advisors to maintain close relationships with their clients while sharing expertise and infrastructure with other teams.

Kintra Wealth currently manages more than $4 billion in client assets and is supported by approximately 75 professionals across the United States. The firm describes itself as an advisor-owned community designed to give entrepreneurial wealth management teams access to specialized resources while preserving their independence and client-focused approach.

For Seymour, the move is intended to reduce some of the operational responsibilities associated with running an independent advisory practice while providing greater opportunities to collaborate with other advisors and specialized teams.

The transaction also expands Kintra’s network of experienced wealth advisors as the firm continues building a national platform centered on shared resources, advisor ownership, and collaboration.

Great Scott Financial Services will retain Seymour’s leadership and client relationships while tapping into Kintra’s broader organizational capabilities. Kintra said the combination is designed to help Seymour and his team devote more time to clients while benefiting from institutional-level support across the areas required to operate and grow a modern wealth management practice.

KEY QUOTES:

“For much of my career, I’ve operated as an island of one, serving my clients while also managing every aspect of running a practice. Kintra stood out because it had built the kind of community I had been looking for – one where experienced advisors and specialized teams genuinely collaborate to help each other better serve clients. I’ll be surrounded by people I can learn from, lean on, and collaborate with every day. That ultimately allows me to deliver an even better experience for the families who have placed their trust in me.”
