Kirkland & Ellis has appointed Greg Durst as Senior Director of Global Fund Partnerships in its Investment Funds Group. He will focus on enhancing the firm’s relationships with the limited partner (LP) community during the fund formation process.
Durst joins from the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), where he was Senior Managing Director of Global Growth, representing over 600 institutional LP members. He played a crucial role in launching ILPA’s first formal engagement with the general partner (GP) community and led growth initiatives, including the establishment of ILPA’s European office in London in 2023.
Previously, he served as the founding Chief Operating Officer of a hedge fund manager in New York and as head of investor relations at a leading growth capital provider in Southern Africa. Durst holds a degree in Finance from Georgetown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
