Kirkland & Ellis announced that Stephanie Haas has joined the firm as a partner in its Corporate Practice Group, marking a key step in the firm’s continued expansion in Philadelphia. Haas becomes the first transactional partner in the office, which opened in early 2025, as the firm builds out a full-service presence in the market.
Haas brings extensive experience advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies across a wide range of complex transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, restructurings, and general corporate matters. Her practice also includes advising on public company transactions, carve-out deals, growth and structured equity investments, joint ventures, and other significant capital events.
Her industry experience spans technology, software, consumer products, financial services, healthcare, industrials, aerospace, and manufacturing. She joins Kirkland from Dechert LLP, where she was a partner.
The hire reflects Kirkland’s broader strategy to strengthen its transactional capabilities in Philadelphia, complementing its existing litigation presence and positioning the office as a hub for high-end corporate work.
Haas has received industry recognition, including being named a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” by The Legal Intelligencer in 2024 and a “One to Watch in Pennsylvania” by Best Lawyers in 2022.
