Kiva Sales & Service and Petalfast have completed their previously announced merger, combining two cannabis sales and distribution businesses into a single platform with plans to expand beyond California. The transaction closed August 17, 2026 after initially being announced in March.

The combined platform is structured to serve cannabis brands through multiple levels of sales and distribution support.

KSS Lite provides a streamlined option for brands that operate their own sales teams but want access to the combined company’s retail network and logistics infrastructure.

Full Partnership models remain available for brands seeking more comprehensive sales services, retail collaboration and cash collection support.

KSS Live, the company’s digital ordering marketplace, will support both operating models.

Self-managed brands can use the technology for retail buyer visibility, while full-service customers receive a digital layer complementing the organization’s field sales and customer service capabilities.

The merger will preserve the existing sales teams and partner relationships of both KSS and Petalfast.

The combined organization will eventually operate under a new unified name, which is expected to be announced later in 2026.

Petalfast Co-Founder Arun Kurichety has become CEO of the combined business.

KSS Co-Founder Scott Palmer will chair the board while continuing to serve as CEO of Kiva Confections.

The company is already seeing additional brand activity.

Eight new brands have joined the platform since the parties signed their letter of intent.

Management plans to build on its California footprint by expanding into New York and New Jersey.

The combined roster spans full-service sales, agency sales and logistics-only support, creating multiple go-to-market options for brands with different levels of internal sales capability.
