KKR Expands Investment In Lighthouse Learning To Accelerate Platform Growth

By Amit Chowdhry ● Nov 26, 2025

Global investment firm KKR has increased its investment in Lighthouse Learning Group as the Indian education services provider prepares for a new phase of expansion across major metropolitan regions. The additional capital comes from funds managed by KKR, along with participation from new investor PSP Investments. KKR will remain the majority stakeholder and continue to support the company’s strategy in early childhood and K-12 education.

Lighthouse Learning operates one of India’s largest education networks, serving more than 190,000 students daily through over 1,850 preschools and 60 K-12 schools. Its portfolio includes widely recognized brands such as EuroKids, Kangaroo Kids, EuroSchool, Billabong High International, Centre Point Group of Schools, Heritage International Xperiential School, Heritage Xperiential Learning School, Phoenix Greens School of Learning, and Finland International School Maldives. The company emphasizes its Child First philosophy along with its focus on pedagogy, safety, and technology.

Since KKR’s initial investment in 2019, Lighthouse Learning has expanded both organically and through acquisitions, strengthening its reach in major Indian cities that include Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Delhi NCR. The new capital infusion is intended to support further expansion of high-quality preschools and K to 12 schools, as well as enhance teaching capabilities, technology initiatives, and operational systems.

KKR is making this investment primarily through its Asian Fund IV and other managed capital pools. Lighthouse Learning, formerly known as EuroKids International, is backed by KKR and supports more than 1,500 women entrepreneurs while employing over 22,000 people directly and indirectly across its network.

PSP Investments, one of Canada’s largest pension investment managers with $299.7 billion in net assets under management as of March 31, 2025, is joining the investor group. The firm oversees a diversified global portfolio on behalf of Canadian federal public sector pension plans.
