Koch Companies Acquires Store Opening Solutions (SOS) To Expand Koch Logistics & Warehousing

Koch Companies announced it has acquired Store Opening Solutions (SOS), a retail inventory consolidation specialist based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, from Marmon Holdings, Inc., marking a strategic move aimed at accelerating growth and expanding Koch’s warehousing and fulfillment capabilities as the company approaches its 50-year anniversary in 2026.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen Koch’s fast-growing Koch Logistics division and significantly broaden its national footprint. Koch said the deal will double its nationwide warehouse presence, building on what it described as more than three million square feet of existing warehouse facilities across its network.

Koch also cited SOS’s established retail customer base and the two companies’ long-standing partnership as key drivers of the transaction. Koch has maintained an onsite operational team at the Murfreesboro location since 1999, and the organizations have jointly supported major retailers on store expansions and brand conversions. Koch said it will continue pursuing acquisitions, with an emphasis on warehousing and fulfillment.

SOS provides support for store openings, expansions, and remodels, with experience managing inventory challenges during retail transitions. The company operates five locations across Tennessee, Mississippi, and New Hampshire. Koch Companies’ divisions include Koch Trucking, Koch Logistics & Warehousing, Koch NationaLease, United Trailer Leasing, and Koch Maritime.
