Kodiak Chemical has acquired Eco Solution Distributing, expanding into water treatment and adding five locations to its specialty chemicals platform.

The deal represents Kodiak’s ninth acquisition since 2023 and was self-funded.

Through Eco Solution Distributing, Kodiak is adding a portfolio of water treatment and environmental chemicals, mineral processing agents, freeze-conditioning and de-icing products, dust-control solutions and bulk commodity chemicals.

The acquired products expand a Kodiak platform that now includes more than 800 products.

The transaction also increases Kodiak’s exposure to the railroad sector while creating additional opportunities in power generation, municipal water treatment and industrial water treatment.

As part of the acquisition, Joshua Herzing is joining Kodiak as Chief Commercial Officer.

Herzing has more than 25 years of experience across mining, water treatment, power generation and commercial leadership.

Kodiak now operates through 15 strategically located sites in the U.S. along with a manufacturing plant in Mackay, Australia.
