Radiant Vision Systems announced it will merge with Konica Minolta Sensing Americas to form a unified sensing business, creating a broader global platform for measurement and inspection technologies.
The integration will take effect on April 1, 2026, bringing together two established players in the sensing market under the combined entity, Konica Minolta Sensing Americas. The new organization will be headquartered in Redmond, Washington, with a primary office in Ramsey, New Jersey, and additional operations in mainland China and Taiwan.
The merger is designed to provide customers with a single-source portfolio of sensing solutions, combining technologies from multiple brands including Konica Minolta, Radiant, Instrument Systems, Specim, and Eines. The expanded offering spans color and appearance measurement, light and display testing, surface inspection, hyperspectral imaging, gas monitoring, and paint quality analysis.
Yuto Saitoh has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the combined company. He previously served as EVP of Radiant Vision Systems, where he oversaw finance and human resources while contributing to long-term strategic planning. Prior to that, he held leadership roles within Konica Minolta’s sensing business, focusing on growth strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and portfolio management.
Radiant Vision Systems has built a 30-year legacy in photometric imaging and visual inspection systems, serving industries ranging from consumer electronics to automotive manufacturing. The company has been part of Konica Minolta’s Sensing Business Unit since 2015 and maintains a global presence across North America and Asia.
Konica Minolta Sensing Americas provides optical and imaging measurement solutions used in research and manufacturing environments, helping organizations evaluate quality, improve productivity, and reduce waste. The merger consolidates multiple sensing groups into a single organization, aiming to strengthen capabilities and streamline access to advanced measurement technologies.
