Kornit Digital: Acquisition Of PrintFactory To Accelerate Digital, On-Demand Textile Production

By Amit Chowdhry • Today at 9:51 PM

Kornit Digital announced the acquisition of PrintFactory, a Netherlands-based provider of cloud-native workflow, color management, and production automation software, as part of its strategy to accelerate the digital transformation of the global fashion and textile industry.

The transaction strengthens Kornit’s platform by integrating PrintFactory’s capabilities to connect demand generation, production workflows, and fulfillment into a unified digital ecosystem. The move targets the large global screen-printing market, which remains heavily reliant on analog processes despite increasing demand for digital production.

By incorporating PrintFactory’s technology, Kornit aims to help manufacturers overcome operational challenges associated with transitioning to digital production, including workflow complexity, multi-technology coordination, and maintaining consistent output across production lines.

PrintFactory’s platform enables unified workflow management and consistent output across mixed production environments, supporting more predictable and scalable manufacturing. The solution is currently used across thousands of production sites and supports more than 3,500 models of printing and cutting devices globally.

The acquisition is also expected to drive efficiency gains by reducing waste, increasing production speed, and enhancing consistency, key requirements for large-scale, distributed manufacturing networks.

In addition to its technology, PrintFactory brings a global install base of over 10,000 active users, including several of Kornit’s existing customers, as well as deep expertise in workflow and color management.

Kornit said the deal advances its broader platform strategy to build a connected digital infrastructure spanning the entire fashion and textile production value chain. Within this framework, KornitX supports demand generation and fulfillment, PrintFactory delivers workflow and color infrastructure, and Kornit’s core technologies power production.

The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the acquisition is not expected to materially impact Kornit’s near-term financial results. PrintFactory will continue operating from its Netherlands headquarters and maintain its technology-agnostic approach.
