Kramer Levin: Three Lawyers Elevated To Partner

Kramer Levin announced the elections of Boaz I. Cohen, Nicole S. DeBare, and Sheila M. Pozon to partner positions in the firm. All three of them are based in New York.

Boaz I. Cohen — Litigation, New York

Boaz Cohen litigates complex commercial disputes, such as false advertising matters. And Boaz also represents individuals and entities in criminal and civil white-collar matters, including in investigations and enforcement proceedings before government and regulatory agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. Boaz earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in psychology and computer science from Columbia University.

Nicole S. DeBare — Real Estate, New York

Nicole S. DeBare represents some of New York City’s most prominent developers, investors, lenders, and not-for-profit institutions in real estate transactions, focusing on condominiums and cooperatives. She represents developers in filings before the New York State Attorney General for complex real estate projects, including commercial condominiums featuring multifamily units, luxury hotels, retail spaces, and parking facilities. Nicole also has extensive experience in negotiating condominium governance documents on behalf of her developer, investor, and lender clients, and she has nearly 20 years of experience in both the New York City market and in major cities around the country. Nicole earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in history and philosophy from Binghamton University.

Sheila M. Pozon — Land Use, New York

Sheila M. Pozon represents private developers and property owners, cultural, educational, health care, and nonprofit institutions, lenders, and investors in the planning, acquisition, development, and financing of major projects throughout New York City on municipal law issues, the development potential of sites, and the land use and environmental review processes. And She has extensive experience representing clients in high-profile real estate projects, including advising the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on the $10 billion redevelopment of the existing Midtown Bus Terminal and Extell Development Co. on the assemblage and acquisition of development rights for landmark Manhattan projects such as the International Gem Tower, One57, and Central Park Tower. Sheila earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and her B.A. in art history and visual arts from Columbia University.
