Kustomer, an AI-based customer service platform, has secured $30 million in Series B funding led by Norwest, with participation from Battery Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, and Boldstart Ventures. The investment will fuel further development of AI products to meet the rising market demand.
As customer expectations rise and digital engagement grows, Kustomer’s CX platform supports complex, multi-channel interactions better than traditional helpdesks or some AI-first vendors, which may lack robust integrations and advanced features.
Kustomer’s platform offers real-time data access and decision-making infrastructure for AI agents. In the past year, it launched AI Agents for Reps to boost productivity through automated responses and information retrieval, as well as AI Agents for Customers, which handle inquiries across channels and automate workflows with backend systems such as ERPs and CRMs.
How the funding will be used: The additional capital is allocated for continued development of Kustomer’s AI roadmap and to assist organizations in updating their support operations. The company is taking steps to enhance the platform’s transparency, accountability, and adaptability for personalized customer experiences. Expansion plans involve localized support, regional go-to-market teams, and customized solutions for clients globally.
Expanded executive team: Kustomer has appointed Anna Fisher as Chief Marketing Officer, expanding its executive team. With experience at Salesforce, Spiff, and ZoomInfo, Fisher will lead global marketing strategy and brand development to help Kustomer provide AI-driven customer experience solutions to more enterprises.
KEY QUOTES:
“Delivering an incredible customer experience across every channel has never been more important. AI alone isn’t enough. It has to reach customers and be embedded into the daily workflows of CX teams. That’s what sets Kustomer apart. We’ve shaped our platform from the ground up to operationalize AI with real-time data and deep context, so teams can delight customers and drive real outcomes. With Norwest’s partnership, we’re doubling down on our AI-native platform and scaling to meet global enterprise demand.”
Brad Birnbaum, CEO and co-founder of Kustomer
“Offering a great agentic customer support experience is not just a tooling problem — it’s an infrastructure problem.
