Kyyba, a Farmington Hills, Michigan-based IT staffing and talent acquisition company, recently announced it is launching a new company called Kyyba Intermedia LLC — which will be launching a new health and lifestyle magazine, podcast series, and video program. The goal of Kyyba Intermedia is to become the go-to source for information about wellness, medicine, healthcare, and lifestyle innovations through both print and digital distributions.
To boost the launch of Kyyba Intermedia, Kyyba acquired Flint-based IHM Media — which is a company that publishes the Michigan Innovative Health magazine. Kyyba’s new magazine will be called Kyyba: Health & Life and it will feature original content that will be resourceful for a diverse readership base including seniors, small business owners, teenagers, veterans, and professionals who are seeking information about healthcare choices and innovations in wellness.
“I hope what we do with this exciting combination of media will bring people together and showcase what’s happening in our communities while sharing the powerful message of a healthy lifestyle,” said Kyyba Inc. founder and chairman Tel Ganesan.
Ganesan added that he was excited to help spread the message of health and wellness through a wide range of platforms. The podcast and video service will also include sponsored audio and visual content in partnership with local and regional brands, which will benefit the Flint community and its surrounding areas.
Going forward, IHM Media publisher Karen Smith is going to become the director of publications at Kyyba: Health & Life. Smith’s team plans to bring readers the latest information about all kinds of innovations including AI, preventative and alternative medicine, health technology, trends, and lifestyle themes.
To celebrate the launch of the podcast series, the Kyyba: Health & Life magazine debut, the annual edition of “Hope for Flint,” and the social media push, there will be a launch party at the Ferris Wheel co-working space next month.
One of Kyyba’s last acquisitions was the staffing arm of Dearborn-based ASG Renaissance including 150 employees, clients, and equipment. That acquisition — which happened in January 2017 — widened Kyyba’s auto industry client base.
