L-Nutra announced it has secured a $36.5 million investment led by Mubadala Investment Company as part of its Series D round, bringing total Series D proceeds to $83.5 million. The company is pushing to expand internationally and scale its “nutrition as medicine” and longevity-focused programs.

The Los Angeles-based nutrition technology company said the financing will support a new joint venture in Abu Dhabi to produce and distribute its scientific medical nutrition therapies and longevity nutrition offerings across the Middle East and North Africa. L-Nutra and Mubadala said they have already begun delivering healthier nutrition and education programs across seven schools in Abu Dhabi.

L-Nutra positions its platform around clinically validated nutrition programs designed to support healthy aging and improve outcomes in chronic conditions, including programs marketed under the Prolon brand and other medical nutrition therapies. The company said its work is supported by partnerships with 18 university research centers and underpinned by 47 clinical trials, 137 granted patents, and a growing global footprint.

Mubadala framed the investment as part of its broader effort to build Abu Dhabi into a regional hub for longevity science, preventive health, and advanced nutrition technologies, alongside other initiatives within the UAE’s life sciences ecosystem.

L-Nutra said Mubadala’s investment adds to an existing investor base that includes Brentwood Associates, Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel, and 618 Ventures.
