La Caisse Invests C$1.76 Billion For 24% Stake In Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust

La Caisse has invested approximately INR 121 billion, or C$1.76 billion, to acquire a 24% interest in Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust, India’s largest independent telecom tower platform.

The transaction has closed, with Brookfield remaining Altius’ largest investor alongside La Caisse and existing shareholders affiliated with GIC and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation.

Altius owns and operates more than 258,000 telecom towers and sites across India, providing infrastructure used by mobile operators to deliver 4G and 5G services.

The investment gives La Caisse additional exposure to India’s growing digital infrastructure market as mobile data consumption and 5G deployment increase.

La Caisse held C$552 billion in net assets as of June 30, 2026, while Brookfield manages more than $1 trillion in assets globally.
